Parent and Community Education

Single session and on-going groups and workshops on topics such as:

•        Staying Connected with Your Teen --click for details

•        Children and Friendships

•       The Tween years

•         Peer Pressure

•        Helping  Siblings of Children with Special Needs

•         Building Self Esteem in Children

•         Handling the Homework Wars 

•         Eating Disorders and Body Image

•         Identifying Mental Health needs in children

Workshops are provided in the community and at Parent Association meetings.  Child care may be provided on an occasional basis.

Guest speakers have included

     -Nancy Samelin, internationally recognized parenting expert

    -Jo Hariton, PhD-faculty of Cornell Medical College

Workshops are available in English, Spanish and Japanese.
